Description

Keep your electronics cooler and your print chamber hotter!

For everyone wanting to print more technical materials (or just wanting to extend the longevity of the printer) you will want to have your chamber hot but that comes with the price that you will heat up part of your electronics. Unfortunately these printers don't really separate the electronics from the print chamber air, meaning that when when your chamber is hot, your electronics will be hot.

I remixed these designs for better fitment. This will block all the ventilations and/or blank space, between printing volume air and the electronics air.

Just print it in PETG, ABS, ASA, and stick it in place using double sided tape.

I advise to use this part in conjunction with my other parts to separate the air and keep the electronics cool:

Improvement over the original design: I made the plate a big thinner, I noticed that when the tool head was as far back as possible, there was a little more than 1mm gap between the part. If it came loose it could hit the tool head, so I made it thinner to give some more clearance. Also added an embossed Bambu logo to make it look nicer.

Special thanks to the original designer MandicReally for his really amazing work designing these! Check his Youtube videos, it has a lot of usefull information!

printed well, except for the logo. Had to trim the edge to fit with the purge cover.

The ventilation holes aren't there for nothing. Is it a good idea to close it completely?

you Said it right, they are ventilation holes to avoid electronics to get hot. but when the chamber temperature is higher, you actually want to cool the electronics with outside air instead of 100degC air

has anyone done tests showing the electronics are cooler with mods like this?

I have a temp sensor inside the chamber and I noticed a constant increase in 2-3 degC on chamber temperature.

I'm wondering about the components ambient temp, not the chamber.

I haven't figured out how either yet, but have you considered making these all as one multi-plate project? It may help with the "I don't get it" comments.

I don't get it. There are other open gaps in the printer that would allow hot chamber air to get to the electrical board, such as the big gaping hole for the rear Z-screw. This is just covering up the ventilation holes, it's not going to stop the hot air getting to it.

please check my other uploads, you can find seals for all those holes... or just check the description of the upload and you find the links to all the other uploads! I don't get why people are you easy and fast to judge without even understanding or reading through it all 🤷🏻
