This phone holder mounts into the large center console of the Ford Transit 2020+.

• Adjustable for smartphone up to 3.5″ wide.
• Can be angled to face the driver or passenger seat.
• Can be rotated 360° for portrait or landscape mode.
• No screws required.
• Features a removable tray for McNuggets sauce (or else…).

You will also need this “3D Print Kit”:

• Phone Holder, VHB tape and alcohol prep pad*

* The size of the ball head varies with phone holders. I tried several, and others than the one recommended above wouldn't work.

Installation

1. Clean the surface in contact with the VHB tape:

2. Remove the protective film from the VHB tape:

3. Apply pressure (push down and against the surface) for 5-10 seconds:

4. Remove the tightening nut from the back of the phone holder and place on the mount. Push down to engage the phone holder into the ball head (tightening nut MUST be removed!):

5. Tighten the nut to provide enough friction so that the phone holder maintain its position under its own weight, but so that your are able to move it freely by hand :

Filament and Print Settings

Mount Base

I personally use Bambu's Black Polycarbonate for high-temp and UV resistance, strength, and good layer adhesion (and because it prints beautifully on my X1C!). But any filament other than PLA should do it.

• 0-49mm: 3 wall loops, 10% Gyroid.
• 49-65mm: 4 wall loops, 20% Gyroid.
• 65-74mm: 2 wall loops, 100% Rectilinear.
• 74-90mm: 4 wall loops, 20% Gyroid.
• No support.

Removable Tray

I personally use PETG (Polylite Dark Gray) for temperature resistance, to add some flex, and because the color matches perfectly with the phone holder and dashboard!
