Description

This is the beginning of my Pokemon suspended collection..
all the pokemon will be suspended in the incubator sleeping..
The model is made using multicolor prints.. I used the bambu LED kit 001 for the lights..

there is actually position for 2 LED kit lights both on the top and bottom.. but since i only have one kit.. i opt to put it on top..

The top part of the incubator has a dummy/support that needs to be remove so you can insert the color screen.. not that i think about it.. you only need to do this if you multicolor print the incubator.. so im going to add another profile that already combine all the parts for non-multicolor prints..

To assemble the suspended charmander is going to take a little patience:

  1. If you are going to install the LED kit like mine.. you'll first need to insert the peg into the pokemon body to help stabilize each half of the model
  2. now there will be a channel in the back side of the frame holding the suspende model.. this is for the USB cable of the LED kit..
  3. insert the cable and carefully close the 2 half.. you should leave some slack on the top
  4. now use double sided tape on the LED kit and tape it to the top incubator.. there should be a channel for the wires too..
  5. if you want to defuse the bright light you can use the screener i provided.. there should be grooves to insert the it..
  6. now slowly cap the 2 half of the suspended charmander
  7. once close.. you can cap the bottom holder of the suspended model.. there should also be a channel for the USB cable
  8. lastly the place it on the bottom piece of the incubator and there is also a slot if you want to put another LED kit for the bottom..

and you done..

If you're thinking of buying the LED kit.. please do support me by using my affliate link here.. LED LAMP KIT 001 every little things helps me out..

One important thing to remember when printing suspended model is to set the wall generator to arachne from classic.. this will make the slicer print the strings.. and NO SUPPORTS..

I hope you guys have fun printing the suspended charmander..

i usually take the whole thing including the bed plate vertically than take it off the bed.. suspended model are very fragile when moving from horizontal to vertical.. the weight shift put stress on certain strings more than others..

Super happy with how this turned out just been staring at it all day. I used a different led puck I found on amazon and printed different colored diffusers for different effects. I did mess up a bit on the top with the support block but overall great. 12/10 and hope to see more pokemon:)

You need to change the wall generator setting from classic to arachne so that you can get the strings to print

Very cool model! Hope to see more of these. Thanks! I've also uploaded a print profile where I've changed the blue/white painting and removed that support block.

do you glue any of the assembly or just let it balance on its own?

it can balance on its own.. but to be safe.. you should glue it together once everything fits together

Have you tried scaling it? I don't know how that might affect "suspended" models. I'm lucky, I loved my A1 Mini so much, I got an A1 also (and share the AMS between them, depending on my needs). It's a great setup that only costs another $400. ;-)

This looks great! Can't wait to print it out when I get home. I wonder if there's any way the cord could be concealed within the stem? I can't think of a way, but aesthetically, it would be great. I think Bambu Labs is going to sell a LOT of those lights, thanks to you!
