The simplest nozzle wiper

Hi guys,

P1S with PETG often gets some material stuck to the nozzle,
I have seen several "nozzle wipers" online but they are always complicated and also seem quite fragile, but above all as always they are for simple solutions, I thought, since some nozzle wipers use heat-resistant silicone tubes placed vertically like a brush , that by replacing the PTFE tube of the original nozzle wiper with a silicone tube the cleaning would be improved, below are the photos of how I replaced the PTFE (OD 4mm - ID 3mm) with a silicone tube (OD 4mm - ID 2mm) and the video of the operation.

I also created a template to cut the silicone tube to the right size.

Salve ragazzi,

P1S con PETG resta spesso attaccato un pò di materiale all'ugello,
ho visto online diversi "nozzle wiper" ma sono sempre complicati e sembrano anche abbastanza fragili, ma sopratttto come sempre sono per le soluzioni semplici, ho pensato, che visto che alcuni nozzle wiper utilizzano dei tubi in silicone termoresistente messi in verticale a mo di pennello, che sostituendo il tbo in PTFE del nozzle wiper originale con un tubo in silicone la pulizia sarebbe migliorata, di seguito le foto di come ho sostituito il PTFE (OD 4mm - ID 3mm) con un tubo in silicone(OD 4mm - ID 2mm) ed il video del funzionamento.

Ho anche creato una dima per tagliare il tubo in silicone alla giusta misura.

EDIT: 13/02/2024 Meglio usare un tubo OD 5mm ID 3mm

Thanks I used a 4x2 tube and it works 95%, but much better than the PTFE one, because the ID is too small and the tube doesn't turn when the nozzle passes through it. Now I have ordered a 5x3 tube and as soon as it arrives I will post considerations on what is best to use.
