Description

I have my 3D printers in a closet and needed a way to hang the AMS Lite for my Bambu A1 from a closet dowel. I designed this system to hang the AMS lite inverted. Interestingly I find having the AMS Lite upside down makes it WAY easier to load filament into the AMS. Depending on your needs, this design comes with a few different lengths of the main arm. All you need is 4 M3 Screws for the top hinge roughly 22mm long.

You can mount this perpendicular or parallel to the dowell you are hanging it on. There are two different arms lengths and orientations. If more lengths are needed I can easily add them!

All parts are printed in PLA. The color in the photos is Polymaker Cold White

what’s the height from the shelf your A1 is on to the bottom of the AMS? wish it was more or less? thinking of doing the same thing but haven’t set the shelf height yet

Lemme know what you need as far as height. I made this in Fusion parametrically so I can easily make you a longer or a shorter extension! I ended up raising the AMS with a shorter Arm, check the photo I attached. In that photo, the AMS sits roughly 25 1/4" above the cabinet it's on. @datFlatlander

DO NOT BUY THE CABLE EXTENSION I bought that AMS extension you put in the description and it blew up my ams lite's mainboard!!! I got the exact cable from that link and plugged it in, shortly after all my ams lite's lights started to blink red and after undoing the extension and plugging it directly in the printer it still blinks red and won't connect. According to the wiki this means the AMS lite communication is lost and after testing the Ω levels I have learned that my ams lite's mainboard has blew and I need to purchase an entirely new ams lite ... which is too expensive for my college student paycheck.... I have submitted a ticket to bambu and I'm waiting on a response Please take down your link and everybody hear my warning!!!!

Im so sorry to hear you had this issue with the extension. I have had mine using it with no issues. Keep in mind quality control is not always top notch with some of these over seas products. My guess is from the factory they swapped pins and it shorted the board. I am so sorry. You might want to inspect your connector and make sure the leads where not swapped. I would love to know. Thanks!
