Description

This Valentine's Day is the perfect gift for a loved one !

It was meant to hold a 4"x6" photography in a portrait position but bigger photography could be used (the one shown in the pictures is a 5"x7").

Do not remove the negative box in Bambu Studio, it is required to create the slot for the picture ! I did not inclure RAW STL files, because if printed as is, they would not have a slot

You can rotate, resize and reposition the negative box to fit your needs (bigger photography, higher position, cut through, removed or accentuate the tilt, etc.) but be careful if you do so, check that you do not create walls too thins or small portion of cut hearts hovering in the air and unattached to the rest of the model !

There are two models :

  • “Upright” which has the hearts at the base in an upright (vertical) position (plate #2 in the profile with both).
  • “Flat” which has the hearts at the base in a flat (horizontal) position (plate #1 in the profile with both).

There are three profiles, one having both models so that you can see them side by side; two profiles each having a single different model.

I tested and printed both models with red Sakata PLA.

I like to print @ 0.12 mm layer height as this enabled rounder hearts but took a bit less than half a day print. If you don't mind a lesser quality, I guess @ 0.2 mm layer height should be good also, haven't tried it.

I always use a small brim with a tighter 0.03 mm gap because I want to ensure my prints never warps, it is easy to remove.

Tree supports are however a bit more tedious to remove, sorry for that but I don't think we could do without with this model ! Be careful when removing them I fear thinner upper heart bridge could break easily if you try to go to fast. Be mindful to check for any plastic left in the slot which could damage your photography upon insertion.

Sorry for the huge files, I think I overdone the number of triangles !
