Description

Summary

Here is a lithophane for a Siberian Husky

I am now uploading two versions.

  • No Base: It has a 3mm thickness and a 3mm border around it.

I have had issues with my print not staying stable and wobbling a bit towards the top of the print.

  • Has Base: It has a 3mm thickness and a 3mm border around it. Add a base of 7mm which makes the total base of 3mm (thickness) + 7mm (base added) = 10mm

The inclusion of a base has benefits;

  • more stable print towards the top

  • Its now a free standing print, leave by the window

  • you can put your contact info at bottle of base but not affect image

My printing dimensions;

  • height is 75% of width

Thus, if the width if 120mm, then the height I use would be 90mm.

  • I like printing my pictures standing up, I personally think it looks better. I tried printing a image flat....it looked very very bad. I personally will not try it again.

  • I suggest using 100% infill to remove as many air gaps as possible, you do not really use much material anyway.

  • You should use a brim to print this, I tried a raft but because the image is tall, it was not able to stand up straight and the print failed.
