We are building a kids size space ship using coroplast panels. The chief engineer wanted the “hull” to have large rivets.
We used Tinkercad and mixed the head of a rivet and added a bolt that would be strong enough to be screwed into the coroplast.
Chief engineer found the rivet heads not to be good enough “aerodynamically” when they were printed head side down. They lookedmuch better by printing them head side up, with supports. We needed quite a lot, so we decreased the density in the head a few layers into the head.
Used washers prevent the coroplast from warping. Look for my other uploads for matching nuts, washers and washer-nuts).
