Description

This is a very simple PTFE/Bowden guide to straighten the filament path out of the filament buffer eliminating the “Pull Back” error.

I expericence the AMS “Pull Back” error many times and see that people were designing parts to fix this but they all use quite a bit of filament and take a little while to print. So I designed my own which is very simple and minimalistic and it has worked great for me. No more “Pull Back" errors.

Works with the 90° angled bus cable and has a small cutout to allow you to access the tab so you can press it to unplug it.

Does not affect the use of the original back spool holder like some of them do. It can still be used with this clip in place.

Prints in under 13 minutes

Requires very minimal supports which can be a little fiddly to remove but worth it to achive a circular hole.

It just pushes over the cable end before it is plugged into the printer. The PTFE tube can then be fed thought the hole.

Thats it, it's as simple as that. I hope it works well for you too.

Printed as spec'd. When I tried to put the 90' through the hole, it refused to even go into it. I had a hard time getting the support out first, then, the plug from Bambu refused to even go in hole spec'd for the plug. I don't know if they changed it, and this model is no longer viable, or, just poorly done. I spent 5 minutes+ trying to open the hole up to fit the plug through it, it never would go in, max it would do is one side, and the sides and bottom don't have enough material to remove enough to use it. On a good note, it did only take 16 minutes and was fast to print. Just not usable.

Thanks very much for your feedback. I'm very sorry to hear that it did not work for you. I have only had good feedback on this so I can only assume that the plug dimensions of mine and others are different to yours and this is the reason it did not fit. Regarding the support, it can be a little fiddly and time consuming to remove but the other option is to not have them but the chances of getting a successful print with a hole that will allow the tube to pass through will be very slim.

same issue, the plug i have does not have flexible... holder? how do i call that pin. It's just there for orientation, not for holding the cable. Just used pliers, cut off that bridge and it works as well...

Good idea but does not fit over my X1C cable. I will try to print it larger and see if that works. Also the supports are not needed, cleaning them out of the PTFE hole was a pain.. and then the cable would not fit through the square hole. I’m using the cable for the AMS hub, not the original buffer, so perhaps that connector is larger?

Fits right in place.

Hey I printed this component today. Unfortunately, I had problems getting the connector through the part. The dimensions of the rectangular opening fit, but the bar (which is supported in the slice) collides with the nose of the connector. In the end I cut the bar open and bent the material away slightly as I wanted to damage the print rather than the connector. In the end, however, I think the solution is a good one and the part is now in use. Maybe you can take another look at the construction. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

Prints well, but the supports inside of the hole are hard to remove and require some love (cutting/deburring) - at least when printed with Bambu Basic PLA using default settings. Thank you!
