Description

Allow for the easy removal of AMS hub PTFE tubes without the need for tools or frustration. I've tried several PTFE release buttons, and none would stay in place reliably. This design features three evenly spaced clips to hold the buttons in place, regardless of their rotation. Works with both for P1 and X1series.

 

To install, remove each PTFE tube, snap the buttons into the hub, and then reinstall the tubes.

The "hub" that came on my P1S Combo only has one PTFE in port. When it changes colors it reacts back to the dry box and runs the new filament down the same PTFE tube. I feel shorted. this hub looks much better than mine. or the buffer that came in mine.

The P1S comes with the standard filament buffer that has one PTFE tube. If you add additional AMS units you need to purchase the AMS buffer shown here. Overall, they work the same in that four filaments are combined at the AMS so the filament will get pulled all the way back. The hub just combines up to four AMS units to a single PTFE to feed the printer.

ahhh, that makes perfect sense. I don't know why my critical thinking skills didn't connect those dots. but I appreciate you taking the time to explain it. If I ever felt the need to add another AMS unit, I'd probably end up printing a 4 into 1 PTFE joiner/splitter. especially since it ends up retracting all the way back to the AMS anyway.
