Description

Just a fun project I thought of one day as a fidget toy idea.

For many years before the technology advanced, we found ourselves bored at times. I myself recall many times sitting on the couch and fidgeting with the rotary dail of the family phone as I waited for a phone call. This will hopefully bring back some memories of the past as well as offer a form of stress relief.

It took me some time and trial and error to make this idea come to life with as little work as possible. I could have made it in 3 pieces probably but I think 4 pieces is still very easy to print and assemble.

Designed from scratch in Tinkercad

The Base is printed multi color for the numbers to show better, the rest is made in a single color, but feel free to get creative.

Key settings that worked for me: I printed with .20 layers, Arachne wall generator, 25% gyroid, Internal solid infill pattern: rectilinear, with infill combination box(checked). Perhaps try lower layers for more detail on the numbers and letters if you desire.

I made a simple stand you can slide keypad into, but it seems to be too light for use by itself, I suggest you add a little weight on back legs or velcro, sided tape to keep it from sliding, or even create your own stand.
