Description

Replacement hot air turbine for a Presto PopLite Hot Air Popper. This hot air popcorn machine is amazing, but on mine the turbine gave out and started spinning on the motor shaft. So I modelled it up and printed a replacement rather than buying a whole new machine. I printed mine out of Polycarbonate for the heat resistance so that's the profile I've provided. This blower sucks in outside air and blows it through to the heating element and then into the chamber to pop the corn. Technically it's on the “cool side” as it contacts the air before the heating element, but they are pretty close together and I have to imagine the whole area is still pretty hot when the unit shuts down, so I didn't take any chances with a less heat resistant filament. Using PC mine has worked great, no issues. But caveat emptor, especially if you use a lesser filament.

In the pictures I uploaded, clear plastic is the OEM part, green is a test piece I printed out of PLA just to check fitment (took a couple tries to get the dimensions right), and the black piece is the PC part shown installed in the unit.
