Description

Japanese kumiko lanterns - 2 styles to choose from. style 1 is the lantern on the left, style 2 on the right.

Easy to assemble, no glue required - simply click the parts into position.

Print the walls (plates labed as solid colours) in whichever colour you choose. Then print the third plate labeled transparent, in either transparent filament or glow in the dark filament (as in the the photos, printed with ziro cyan glow in the dark)

The side panels also fit perfectly using tension to hold into position, again no glue was needed.

Purchased cheap tea lights online. I found 12 for under 10 dollars, they flicker as to resemble candles.

My wife and I loved the original lantern so much we decided to upscale the lantern to fit into our lamps we had in our living room. it turned out great and fits the lamps that so many people have in their homes. I'll adjust and upload the larger profile soon once I have it to more of a snap in style as the original.

I'm having a hard time upscaling this, printed the first 2 walls at 110% but if i try to divide the solid colours 2 plate into two prints it weirdly makes it 86grams instead of the prior 46 grams, also when dividing into objects the solid colour 1 plate is non problematic while the second one is divided into different layers somehow. Would you know how to go about this?

I'm not entirely sure I understand correctly - do you maybe have any pictures to help me understand further? thanks

printed very easy using Bambu Lab P1s with Bambu Matte charcoal PLA and Eryone Transparent PLA. Only 'downside' is that the PEI Texture doesn't give a nice matte effect on the outside but that's not an issue with the model but more with my choice of build plate :-)
