Description

Introducing the 3D-printed Millennium Falcon Christmas tree topper – a festive delight for Star Wars enthusiasts. This model, adorned with Ice Blue EL wire and teddy bear stuffing to illuminate the iconic engine, seamlessly blends holiday spirit with galactic adventure. Download and bring a touch of the Millennium Falcon to your tree this Christmas!

The tree topper cone features holes for securing it more firmly to the tree top using zip ties.

I printed it with 10% infill, 2 walls, 0.2mm layer height, and no supports in Black PLA. Subsequently, I spray-painted it white and added weathering effects with black and brown acrylic paint.

To enhance the visual appeal, I applied red, orange, and blue markers from my kids.

For illumination, I utilized Ice Blue EL wire purchased from AliExpress at a reasonable cost here.

Assembly:

  1. Insert the EL wire from inside the back half through the holes, then run it to the other side, looping it around. I repeated this process, creating three lines of EL wire in the engine.
  2. Utilizing extra EL wire, I threaded it up into the cockpit through a hole I added, bundled it tightly, and placed it inside. This step is entirely unnecessary as it remains unseen.
  3. Glue the two halves together using the alignment pins and place it on the stand. After applying a few layers of paint, it has a strong friction fit on the stand, eliminating the need for glue. This allows for placement on a different display stand after Christmas.
  4. I repurposed a bit of stuffing that fell out of one of my daughter's stuffed toys, rolling it into a cigar shape, and then gluing it on to diffuse the light slightly.
