Update 16/04/2024:
Another request - this time for an iPhone 15 Pro. I've made one corner deeper for the camera bubble
Update 20/02/2024:
As a request, added model file for an ipad mini 200x134.7x7. It has a little bit taken out of the top left ‘arm’ to try to clear the power button
Phone holder for Sim Racing Dashboard. Fits Fanatec accessory mount.
Height adjustable for different wheels (Tested with WRC and Mclaren GT3). Spring mechanism means quick adjustments and easy removal when you need the phone - simply slides off. The bracket that stays fixed to the wheel does not extend above the top of the CSL DD wheel base so it can be left on when not in use.
Model is parametric so can be adjusted within reason to fit other phones. Width and Height are the extreme measurements with a case if required. Depth is the depth before the clamp bits overhang the phone. Due to the curved edges of my phone I took a couple mm off and found it fit better.
The static model files are for an iPhone 11 with case (155w x 80h x 9d)
The model needs approximately the right aspect ratio for a phone, it will break if you try to adjust measurements in large steps. Adjust width and height by a couple mm at a time alternating between the two and it'll be OK.
You'll need 2x M6x20mm cap head bolts
Print Settings:
Use Whatever for the bracket that bolts to the wheelbase
Use PETG for the phone holder as it needs to flex to ‘snap in’ the phone. PLA will work but it's a bit sketchy. Concentric top and bottom layers.
I printed 0.2mm layer height with 5 top layers.
Print the phone holder with supports or the spring might fuse. It's a bit fiddly to remove them but they'll come out if you pull them towards the bottom of the phone holder (along the direction of the channels)
If you don't have access to fusion360, drop me a line and I'll generate a set to your dimensions
