Description

Replacement Part for the PTFE Tube in the Raise3D Pro3 Extruder.

The original part has a relatively big gap between extruder wheels and PTFE Tube. In combination with the soft PTFE Material it gets deformed easily and soft Filaments like TPU/TPE, flexible, PP… gets pushed out if you only print a little to fast or the heat creep (Dual Extruder printing ) let it stick ever so little that the extruder need some force to “break it free”.

With the tangling Filament the print is ruined.

I improved/refined the geometry of the tip so that there is only a really small gap all around to avoid all of this. The contour of the tip follows the extruder wheels form. The extruder can create more pressure without pushing the filament sideways.

I created 2 Versions.

  1. Completely printable. standing in ABS/ASA or other “hard” Filament with higher weakening temperature.
  2. Printable but with a 40mm long PTFE Tube inliner (a 3mm OD, 2mm ID PTFE Tube like used in the Heatbreak.)

Both versions works flawless for hours in our Pro3 but the inliner version creates a little less friction.

Pay attention when mounting the PTFE Tube, that there is no contact to the extruder wheels otherwise you can damage the extruder assembly.

Use at your own risk, I am not responsible if any damage occurs to your extruder!

I printed it with ASA on our Pro3.

0.1 layerheight; max. 50mm/s; 15sec. in layertime; min 10mm/s.
