Description

-------------------- UPDATE 1/30/2024 --------------------

I updated the sponge holder base to have a 4 degree angle on the top surface to help water runoff more easily and to prevent water from pooling up in the sponge holder. Based on feedback, I also slightly reduced the size of the plate so that it fits in the base a little more easily. It's still a nice snug fit, but a little easier to assemble now. These new models have the “_v2” suffix.

Simple kitchen sponge holder that drains into the sink. I printed both parts in PLA and they have held up well for over a year now, however PETg may be easier to clean, and is considered more “food safe.”

Note that the image is of the original design. I have since beefed up the sponge holder plate to prevent it from warping over time.

printed great but may want to angle the inside water gets caught on the tray rather than down the ramp.

I just updated the design to have a 4 degree slope on the top internal surface to prevent the pooling of water!

If you are looking to print two different colors for each piece, then break it up on two different plates. Printing two colors in one job wastes a lot of filament on the X1.

Or print them separately rather than by layer and it won't change filament but once...
