This accessory is designed as a protective cover for the dual buttons on the Dyson Humidify+Cool, which I use in the children's room. Its main function is to act as a childproof lock, created out of necessity since my twins would frequently engage the power button. The cover is crafted to complement the device's contours, ensuring an aesthetically pleasing integration. I chose a standard black Jayo PLA to match the black/gray color scheme of the humidifier, resulting in a seamless look. Although I experimented with Sunlu's black PLA in a matte finish to complement the matte appearance of the upper part but it did not significantly alter the appearance since the sheen is inherent to the build plate itself, and the optimal printing orientation is with the part facing downward.

Installation

I applied two slender strips of 3M double-sided adhesive tape lengthwise along the Y-axis to secure the cover. This solution proved to be highly effective, and subsequently, my children quickly became disinterested in the device.

Compatibility

I am fairly confident that this model is also compatible with other similar devices from Dyson, such as the subsequent Dyson Purifier Humidify+Cool Formaldehyde PH04, among others. However, I cannot verify this compatibility with absolute certainty, as my access is limited to only this particular Dyson device.
