If any of you have toddlers you know how frustrating it is to find another drawer, cabinet, cupboard etc that your child can get into after you thought you already purchased and put child locks on everything.
After going through 2 packs of child locks and it wasn't enough I decided to design my own. This design is probably the 4th or 5th iteration of tweaking to get the most robust part that works and after going through rigorous testing (my kid), this seems to be the winner. I printed them solid with ABS but I imagine PLA would probably work as well. The geometry I have provided is in the best orientation I have found to work. There are other orientations that may use less supports but I have found this one to be the strongest. The screws the clips were designed for are 6 x ½ sheet metal screws but I imagine anything similar will work as long as they fit in the recesses.
