Description

Summary

Poor print quality shown in photo as this print was originally completed years ago - way before the P1S existed. This get used quite often with regular wheel swaps and has never failed. Expect much higher quality print with the updated profile.

Designed for Fanatec wheels. Using my CSL Elite wheelbase as a guide. This suits both P1 and McLaren V2 wheels. I cannot guarantee this will be suitable for other Fanatec wheels as I don't own any other wheels, but I believe they will fit.

(If anyone downloads this for a wheel other than the two mentioned above, please comment to let others know if its suitable. Otherwise let me know why it doesn't fit - too small/big and I'll make adjustments or even a new design to suit.)

Universal mount. The design allows for mounting to 8020 extrusion in both a 'North/South' and 'East/West' orientation so it can be mounted on either HORIZONTAL or VERTICAL sections of the rig. It is surprisingly strong with no special settings and using 35% infill. If you prefer a stronger mount you can add full layers to the bottom of the print. The original design was to have just one central mounting hole without the need for an additional flange but I realised the wheel can easily spin on just one bolt. I initially added locating tabs to the bottom face to stabilise the mount but they were not strong enough and easily broke off. So I settled on a mounting flange with additional holes for stability.

Notes:

This print is very sturdy. If you feel the need to make it stronger simply add additional layers to the bottom of the print. Or increase the wall thickness and infill. I printed this using Grid infill at 35% and it is strong enough for me. This design utilises M8 bolts.
