Description

Hi!

I created these Christmas ornaments with Santa Claus lithophanes, using the bulb found at the following link as a reference:

https://www.amazon.it/dp/B01FF07XFE?th=1&linkCode=ll1&tag=gabriele0d48-21&linkId=2096f797f425322269c6bd544fb22b0d&language=it_IT&ref_=as_li_ss_tl

If the link doesn't work, you can easily find them on Amazon by searching for "LED for balloons."

Below is the image of the bulb I used, to be used as a reference for purchase (they are really cheap!)

The bulb has a diameter of 11 mm, but it comes with a small transparent silicone ring that brings it to a diameter of 13 mm.

This simply fits into the hole of the Christmas ornament and, thanks to the silicone ring, it locks into place.

To turn it on and off, simply rotate the bulb to the right and left.

I've also added some profiles with a 15 mm diameter hole as I've seen that there are bulbs with this diameter as well, or simply to facilitate the work for those who want to fill them with an LED strip.

Attached are all the RAW files, but I know it can be challenging to edit them on your own.

So, if you need an ornament with a particular hole diameter, feel free to go to my profile and send me a message (or you can comment below);

I'll be happy to create the print profile for you!

Merry Christmas!

this profile is actually the ribbon one, so I think it has the wrong picture in the profile (the 3D model picture from the slicer is the correct one though), but it came out good.

Very Nice model, many thanks to you, but your profile wasn't enough good for me. So, I just added a printing profile which will allow you to obtain better quality. I strongly advise you to print with PLA Basic Jade White (10100) from Bambulab which allows you to obtain beautiful transparency as well as good quality. I integrated the following modification into the filament profile: max volumetric speed: 3mm3/s, which also allows better quality. The print profile is 0.12mm layer height, 4 walls, 100% infill. And the speed has been reduced. Some Hybrid Tree Supports are used to stabilize the start of printing. You should definitely not use PETG as it harms the print quality. The 3mf file contains ball N°3, but you can apply the profile settings to other ball models. I followed the recommendations from the Lithophanemaker site at https://americanfilament.us/pages/beginners-guide-to-lithophanes for the best print settings.

the print came out good. I didn’t realize the reindeer rapped all the way around on this one until after printing it.

Very cool print! I wish I could find stronger lights that lasted longer as I want this on all the time!
