Description

Build difficulty: Moderate

These are STL files used to create the 3D printed Corvette lettering Neon LED sign. Download includes the model split into 4 pieces. Entire model is around 3 inches tall and about 37 inches wide. Other materials used to build are listed below. I printed in multiple pieces and used a soldering iron to weld the pieces together.

Neon LED strips: There are several brands available. Some are cuttable every 1 cm. I used the 2.5 cm link, white color but for a tighter fit you can use the second link.

Awesome stuff, Do you have a write-up on how to wire all the LEDs together being that some cutting and piecing together is required?

thanks for the comment and kind words! A step by step write up is in the to do list still unfortunately but the basic wiring steps gives you a few options. I usually wire them in series, so connect the end of section 1 to one end of section 2, then wire the other end of section 2 to one end of section 3 and so on. connect positive to positive and negative to negative. I use either 22 awg wire or 24 awg speaker wire usually. other option would be to wire them all in parallel which can be a little more complicated. I try to always take a photo of the final wiring on the back but of course for this one I didn’t and I no longer have this sign. let me know if you have other questions
