Description

 

Print out this automata kit to assemble your very own infinitely looping marble run!

 

This automata converts rotational energy into vertical energy that uses gravity to push marbles up! The entire model doesn't need supports and is very easy to print. It's been tested and developed with Bambu PLA Basic/Matte and Sunlu PLA+. The marbles used are 10mm ball bearings (the same as Hextraction). The profile also includes some marbles that you can print (already set to 100% infill for the marbles only).

 

Here's a render of how the automata kit is put together:

The cams (tear drop shaped parts) have an arrow to show which way you turn them to twist-and-lock them onto the main axle. The cams should alternate the direction the arrows on them are facing to match up with the render above. Take a look below:

You had to twist the cams on the axle. two clockwise turn and the middle conterclockwise. there is a cutoutpath inside the cams - take a closer look. :)

Funciona muy bien pero el montaje puede ser un poco frustrante si no sigues un orden. la leva central hay que ponerla en barilla de la manivela al revés para que cuando esté encima de la marca gire hacia el otro sentido. las piezas encajan a presión de manera ajustada. Buen trabajo aunque en la siguiente versión pondría número en las levas para ayudar en el montaje.

Great kit! I did have to make the balls..ahem...a bit bigger because they wouldn't stay on the plate even with a brim, but it's all good :)
