I optimized the design in order to facilitate printing the numbers and indicator stripes in color without losing functionality of the tool.

Please make sure you remove the support material on the pin completely for smooth insertion in the gauge body.

This is a tool you can use to measure the depth of your tire tread on a car or motorbike etc.

The scale is in millimeters.

Thanks for sharing this design! Printed well in PETG. Fresh off the bed the pieces needed a little convincing to slide easily but end result was great

compact and easily pocketable. text easy to read. used a pause in the slicer to change filaments for the text mid-print. a sharpie was used to mark the line on the sliding post

Printed well. Standing vertically causes the pin in the holder to lock at a given depth, due to layers meshing, which works very well, as the pin doesn't slide when you remove the tool to read the measured tire depth. Awesome job!
