Print details:
- I used the textured PEI plate, cleaned it with soap and started printing. No issue with bed adhesion. But you can definitely use other plates for PLA as well.
- The roller is printed with variable layer height, as in the original post
- Only support is added to the roller, the rest prints without support
Assembly guide
- Remove the support from the roller and check for any debris on the small rolling parts. You can use a piece of sandpaper to smoothen this
- Press/fit the roller in the side spool and add some lube to it. Don't use liquid lube.
- Remove the metal spool holder from the back of the printer
- Install the printed side spool mount with 2 x M3 screws
- Install the PTFE tube guide by first removing the 2 small screws on the printer and inserting with 2 longer screws.
- Add a piece of PTFE tube from the guide to the printer and you're done
Print time and used material:
- Print time: 3 hours and 40 minutes
- PLA filament, approximately 95gr
