Motivation

Reducing the waste of filament and print time while printing multiple filaments with a single hotend. The model is a small square, just 8x8cm and 0.8 to 3.2 mm in thickness only a few grams of filament is needed. Just 4 to 16 layers and only 48 tool changes are needed.

Layer Height: 0.2 mm, 100% infill done with top/bottom layers, each module has 4 layers.

You can save this prints as filament samplers / swatches that tell you how one filament goes over to any other one, by time you get a collection of all your filaments.

The goal

While reducing the amount of purge going from one color to any other color make sure that this transition test prints without smearing one color into the other. You can often reduce the amount of purge by 50% without going into trouble. How deep down you can go depends a lot on the chosen colors in this set of 4.
