Description

Logitech G915 / G815 keyboard switch button (Tactile switch)

On the first image there are two transparent ones printed (one in switch, one standing as a model) and the brown is original.

Story: I broke my G915 CTRL-key peg that keeps the key hat in-place and when trying to get it from the switch button slot it disappeared into the slot and made the button unpressable. While trying to recover it I broke the button.

So I modeled a replica of the button in the switch and managed to get it quite right saving my 200 € keyboard.

You can open the clear plastic “cap” of the switch by lifting it from sides with a little flat head screwdriver. I has two taps on both left and right side. After that you will gain access to this button and beneath it a spring.

I printed mine with Bambu Labs P1S, 0.4mm nozzle, 0.08mm layer height, Silent mode (50% speed), eSUN transparent PETG

On faster speeds the center spring holder peg may become too thick and the button might not be able to move freely. I'd suggest you printing multiple and trying out which of the prints fits the best and moves freely. The part is so small atleast for a 0.4mm nozzle that there are slight variations on the printing quality.

Print settings:
Nozzle: preferably 0.2mm (better) or 0.4mm
Resolution: 0.08mm or as fine as you can manage.
Speed: 50% of what you normally print at. The slower the better.
Material: ASA, ABS, PETG, PLA
