If you're anything like me, you're constantly trying to measure random items the WRONG way. How many times have you pinched something and then walked across the room to something else while trying to hold that perfect distance in between your fingers? Well no more! Print a set of these bad boys and get to measuring the way the 3D Gods intended! As pictured, the ruler is very accurate and through small adjustments in your individual printer resolution you can get a super precise fitment of the sliding blade. I marked my ruler measurements with a silver sharpie for better contrast and readability, but you certainly don't have to do that.

This set is configured for metric measurement but if there is interest in a standard version I can certainly make that happen! I do almost all of my 3D modeling in Fusion 360 set up for metric inputs so these work great for my specific application.

The model pictured above was sliced with an “Extra Fast” Cura profile printing at a .28 mm layer height on my Ender 5 Pro. This is more than detailed enough for my use, but if so desired one could get even cleaner results using smaller layers. For best results I recommend printing the ruler flat on its base and the sliding blade standing upright. When printed in these orientations neither piece requires support.

As previously mentioned, I sliced and printed with an “Extra Fast” Cura profile. The pictured model was printed using PLA, a .28 mm layer height, an extruder temp of 205°C, and a bed temp of 60°C. With this profile and these settings I was able to get a quality print in 1hr 45min.
