Description

Summary

A couple remixes, and a couple originals. I typically print these in vase mode, and I scale them to hold the nursery pots that the plants come in, so I don't need to repot them at all.

If you want to do the same and scale them to your pot size here's how you can do it:
Download the STL and import it into some modelling tool (I use Windows 3d builder for this step). Measure the diameter of the top of the planter with whatever measuring tool is built into the modelling software. Call that diameter B. Measure the diameter of the nursery pot you want to put into the planter, call that diameter A.
Divide A by B to get the scaling factor for the planter.

For example: 100 mm nursery pot, and the planter model opening is 80 mm. 100/80 = 1.25, hence the model needs to be scaled up 125%.

They look best printed in wood filled or matte filament. I usually do thick extrusions to reduce print time. I like 1.5 mm wide and 0.5mm high for vase mode prints.
Note: you can extrude that large with a 0.4 mm or 0.6mm nozzle in vase mode. Do not think you have to get a bigger nozzle to print wide.
