Description

If you have ever had any sort of pet, you know at least two things;

1.) they can be hard on their toys.

and

2.) Toys can be expensive.

I got tired of forking out ~$10 every time my Alex or Meyers chewed through their swing or perch or whatever.

so I have been designing a group of bird swings that is relatively (>.> looking at my alexandrine) durable, and cheap! the little birdies seem to love them.

at this point i have printed 100+ of these things now, and even a breeder friend uses them for their birdies. so i decided to share them with the rest of the world!

these triangle swings come in 2 sizes 8in and 5.5in.

they also come in two different thread pitches. metric M6 and standard SAE ¼ in both coarse thread.

the threads come modeled into the piece, so all you have to do is source the attaching bolt.

i typically use eyelets for the corners and hang them in the cage.

I almost always print these in PETG in recent days. i had the breeder friend put one of the PLA models in the dishwasher, and that warped it.

PETG seems to hold up just fine in the dishwasher apparently.

the profile i have here is for the .4mm nozzle. i hadn't quite gotten my .6 or .8 set up yet. One of these days ill add a profile for that to speed up production.

Note: the underside of the triangles' corners have a tendency to lift up. Make sure you use glue on the corners, and keep the bed at one temp the whole print.

anyways Enjoy!
