3D printing settings
For those eager to add a personalized touch to their gardens with our 3D Printed Plant Name Tag Set, here are some print suggestions to get you started:
Print Suggestions:
Pre-Sliced Perfection: The combo 3MF file comes already colored and sliced, ensuring a seamless print process from the get-go. Simply load the file into your multi-color 3D printer, and watch as each plant name tag comes to life with vibrant hues, ready to embellish your garden.
Material Choice: For durability and outdoor resilience, we recommend using PETG filament for its weather-resistant properties. For indoor use, PLA is perfect due to its eco-friendly nature and wide range of colors.
Printer Settings: Ensure your print bed is level for optimal adhesion. If your printer supports it, a brim or raft can offer additional stability for these slender items.
Layer Heights: A layer height of 0.2mm offers a great balance between detail and print speed. For an even finer finish, you can go down to 0.1mm, though this will increase print time.
Infill Percentage: An infill of 20% is typically sufficient for these tags, providing enough strength while saving on material.
Nozzle Temperature: Follow the recommended temperature for your chosen filament. Generally, 200°C works well for PLA, while PETG often requires around 240°C to 250°C.
Bed Temperature: For PLA, a bed temperature of 60°C is standard, whereas PETG may require a bed around 70°C to 80°C for optimal adhesion.
Post-Processing: After printing, you can sand the edges for a smoother finish or coat the tags with a UV-resistant sealant for added longevity, especially for those exposed to the elements in outdoor gardens.
Remember, the key to a successful print is often in the details. Take the time to review your printer's capabilities and adjust settings as needed for the best results. With the combo 3MF file, you're already one step ahead, as the color and slicing are predetermined for ease and convenience, allowing for a straightforward print journey from digital file to garden flair.
