3D printing settings
File Preparation:
Orientation: adjusts each part of the wand so that fine details are optimally oriented, minimizing the need for supports that can damage surface finishes.
Brackets: Add brackets only where strictly necessary, preferably where the marks they leave are least visible.
SLA Print Configurations:
Layer Resolution: 25-50 microns to capture all the fine details and wand's own texture.
Exposure: Adjust the UV exposure time according to the recommendations for the resin you are using. Make sure it is sufficient to properly cure each layer without losing detail.
Post-Processing:
Cleanup: Use isopropyl alcohol to clean the printed parts, making sure to remove any excess uncured resin, especially in the detailed areas and engravings.
UV Cure: Cure parts under UV light according to the resin manufacturer's specifications to ensure complete curing.
Post-Print Assembly:
Fit Test: Before applying any adhesive, make sure the parts fit together perfectly.
Bonding: Use a glue suitable for resins or, if possible, use a small amount of the same resin and cure with UV light to solder the parts.
Remember that these are basic parameters and it is crucial to make test prints to adjust these parameters to your specific SLA 3D printer and resin. Environmental conditions and the unique characteristics of your printer may also influence the fine adjustments needed to achieve the best print result.
