Description

Remember that game you played as a kid with the sticks and marbles in a clear tube - KerPlunk? I had the stupid idea to try and recreate it inside of an easter egg using purge lines as the sticks and jelly beans as the marbles.. And it kinda works! The egg sits on the shaft, and either can spin in the center of the base, aligning the output shote with a section of the base to spill the beans.

The egg has a just over 16mm ish diameter hole, so it will fit things like jelly beans, those candies with the ‘5’ on them or the candies with the 'w' on them among other things I didn't test. For better results, print it hot and slow with a clear material so you can actually see what's inside.

For some reason I've kept a bin of all my clean purge lines over the years with the idea that I'd eventually do something with them. Here's one of those dumb ideas. The purge lines as the sticks work… ok. I'd suggest grouping a few together before sliding them through.

There are two bases, one round and one flower shaped. Print the flower base with a concentric bottom layer for a cool affect. Both bases have a corresponding .2mm thick grass file that will fit into the narrow slots along either base. I went with .2mm thick so you would also have the option to cut up a purge line and stick it in the slot as well as seen in one of my pics. I think they look pretty nifty and will probably try to incorporate that idea into future things.

Note on food interacting with plastics - just don't let anything you put in contact with the plastic and eat get too warm or gooey to the point it sticks, other than that you'll be fine. Also don't store consumables in the egg if you're not using it. At the end of the day though, it's not like there isn't already enough plastic in the food we eat anyways.
