26.3.2024:V1.1 Cylinder sections provided as separate stl files. This allows you to print them separately in case you are not able to free them up after printing them all together.

Technical specifications:

• Fully compatible with 1:14 scale TAMIYA tractor trucks
• 2 and 3 axle versions included
• Optional “Scandinavian style” extended king pin plate for 3 axle version
• King pin adjustable in three 20 mm steps to make it compatible with all American and European tractors
• Length 610 mm, Width 189 mm, Height 231 mm
• Load capacity about 10 kg
• Realistic lifting angle of 49 °
• Motorized support feet with 21mm stroke
• Motorized tipping mechanism (the front mounted 6x telescopic hydraulic cylinder is a dummy)
• Optional “strong lift” tipping mechanism (requires 3S battery)
• Automatic dual dump door locking mechanism
• Prepared for 7 chamber taillights with LED
• Brackets and openings for wiring
• The 3 dump bed sections are rigidly clamped together by four M3 threaded rods
• Standard 85 x 25 mm TAMIYA compatible tires, mounted on 3D printed wheels with dual ball bearings
• Dummy airbags (printed in Creality TPU) with springs inside
• Printable on an FDM 3D printer with at least 250 x 210 or 220 x 220 mm bed size and 220 mm printing height. I used a Prusa MK4 with 0.4mm nozzle and ESUN PLA+ filament
• No special tools required
• Similarities with a real dump trailer of a German manufacturer are random

3D printing settings

Make sure your printer is calibrated properly, so the parts are dimensionally accurate and clean
• Use Orca Slicer
• All stl files are oriented ready for printing
• Use ESUN PLA+ (Creality TPU for AirSpringBellows.stl, PETG for door locking spring) If you life in a hot environment, you may want to use PETG instead of PLA+
• Enable “Ironing” for smooth top surfaces
• Layer thickness 0.2 for most parts (0.15 for parts with curved surfaces to achieve less “steps”)
• At least 3 wall loops
• At least 6 top and bottom layers or 1.2 thickness
• At least 30% infill
• Line width 0.45 for walls, 0.6 for infill, 0.4 for top surface
• 0.1 elephant foot compensation
• Some parts require supports (at overhang angles above 45°)
• Set skirt loops to zero, if print plate is too small (dump box on ender 3 for example)
