Description

I don't know if I would really call this a remix since I ended up completely remodeling it in TinkerCAD, but I did use mjoaris' spool holder as the main influence for my version.

I shortened the over all height and was able to make the mounting block sit at a 45. This works well for the top mounted 45° mounts and side 45° mounts for the original spool holder. I also flattened the bottom so it can print as it sits with very few supports.

I completely redesigned the roller itself to be able to be printed with no supports as well. I split the Roller into multiple parts, so it can be easily assembled with no glue. The Spool Holder Nut is, for the most part, unchanged from the original. I did modify it slightly by removing the recessed area underneath, so it can be printed without supports.

You will need to print two of the Roller Part 1, one of the Roller Part 2, and 2 of which ever Ring (Part 3 or Part 4) that you would like. I made notches in the internals of the Roller so the square key peg will slid in easily and to allow air to escape as it is being pushed in. The rings are very snug and will fit. Part 3 is a half beveled ring, which is what I ended up using. The flat side would go to the inside of the roller and the rounded side toward the bearing. Part 4 is rounded on both the inside and outside. I haven't had issues with either ring, but YMMV. It uses the same 608ZZ Bearings, as many of the other spool holders do.-
