Description

Edit: added a second plate for Lid without supports as requested by user, added new plate for different orientation of spots, added new plate for one piece flower body if anyone wants to AMS multicolor it

Yet ANOTHER Mario themed piggy bank model! This time we have a GIANT 2ft tall piranha plant floor bank! This model was originally meant to be a coin sorter as well but after many failed iterations I decided to just have it be a spiral ramp as all the designed I tried I could not acheive 100% success on the coin sorting. This piggy bank is LARGE and has many parts!

This is not meant to be a toy or moved around constantly and is meant more as a floor decor piece that you can throw loose change into as you walk in.

Printing in orientation provided will be successful but will leave some slight blemishes on the underside of the rounded edges. Once everything is assembled these areas are hardly noticeable so its user choice of if you would rather have a slightly wonky bottom that can probably be nailed with great supports, or a seam where you glued the pieces together. Cut versions are provided on seperate plates

All connectors have a tolerance of .2mm and should fit easily into the provided holes, glue both halves of the ramp together as well as the bottom piece. Glue your spots onto your flower body, then attach the plant lips to the flower body, mine fit so snugly in place I didn't even have to glue it. Slide your flower body over the top of the coin funnel and it should fit into place with some slight persuasion, once that is seated and glued you may then add the top of the coin funnel to the ramp. Glue your teeth in place and youre good to go!

If you're worried about stability you can glue the entire vine into the top of the lid to hold it in place. Happy Printing!

Very fun piece. I have to clean up some excess glue but my small coins go in nicely (no loonies or toonies, I’m Canadian)

the support for the lid is not needed! The support of the white dots is a pain to remove! Would be nice if you adjust the print profile. thanks

I can add another plate where the lid doesn't have supports but for the white dots the choices of orientation are preferable vs printing upright and having the bottoms come out wonky or falling over during printing

The first layer on the lid looks like it has strangely shaped chunks missing from it. And the slicer generates supports there. I only have enough filament for one shot at the lid. Will it come out OK if I print it as is? Should I leave the supports? (Edit, I re-downloaded the raw STL file and reopened in Bambu Studio. Flipped it over and the bottom layer looks fine. I'll print that one).

hi, I started printing plate 16 and it was going great but my printer messed up at layer 480 is there any way I can print only from layer 480 and then glue the 2 together? it was a 27 hour print I believe and I only had 2 1/2 hours left for it to finish 😕😞

you'll have to load it into the slicer and manually cut it at that layer, recolor the top part and then send it to the printer

couldn’t get leaves to stick together, I’m guessing this takes a lot of glue to make it work?

I used a combination of krazy glue, e6000, and hot glue for the entire project. To connect both halves of the leaves together I used some e6000 with a couple small drops of hot glue just for the initial hold. I then gently wrapped both halves with painters tape to let the rest set
