Description

This design is heavily inspired by the Wallmount for Bambu AMS model created by StefanWoX. I wanted my AMS unit slightly further from the wall and saw room for improvement so I spun up my own.

This version is stronger than my original version and better supports the full length of the AMS. The AMS unit will sit ~65mm from the wall with these mounts which will allow you to fully open the lid.

The wall mounting holes are identical to the original version so you can easily upgrade for more support.

Testing

I've included a test model so you can quickly print out a low quality piece to ensure the key parts will fit with your AMS unit. The end of the test piece will roughly be flush with the back of the AMS unit. If the test piece doesn't fit for you please message me so I can update the model.

Assembly

You will need (6) M4 x 20 cap screws and nuts to attach the shelf piece to the bracket.

The holes for mounting the bracket to the wall have a diameter of 6mm with a head diameter of 12mm and a head depth of 2mm. I used some heavy duty drywall anchors from Home Depot to mount mine.

Updates

2024-04-21: Removed the second from last wall in order to fit both 3-slot variants.

Warning: If you print a third party profile you may not be getting the latest version or the highest quality print.

It does not fit with the 3 slot. I printed the test piece and no go.

These supports are amazing!! I printed them in red PETG. I took the brackets with me to the hardware store and found the right sized screws. This saved time and money over many furniture options that I didn’t like as much.

I’ve tried multiple times to get a good print of this, but no matter what I try, the corners peel off the build plate. Even with the author’s profile. I’m just flushing filament down the toilet at this point.

@McGrath what type of filament are you using? I didn't have any issues with bed adhesion on this model? I like to use Magigoo for additional bed adhesion (https://amzn.to/3xlkFYA). You could also try adding a manual brim on the "Others" tab but it really shouldn't be necessary for this model.

Replying to @RolandDeschain :
Bambu Basic PLA on a textured PEI plate set to 65C in an enclosed P1P. Even with a 10mm brim, it either pulls up the brim or detaches from the brim.

does this new design mount in the same hole positions as the original design?

Yes it uses the exact same mounting holes. Thanks for asking the question as I should be pointing that out in the description.
