Description

Butterfly mines, such as the BLU-43B Dragontooth, are miniature anti-infantry mines used by the United States during the Vietnam War to block the transportation of Vietnamese troops. Butterfly Mines are unique in shape, inexpensive, and have a small amount of explosives inside, so they usually only blow up the trigger's foot without being fatal. At the same time, the pressure-triggered fuse is very sensitive, and once the insurance is lifted, it cannot be restored to the insurance state, and the large number of spreads makes it difficult to sweep, so the threat to civilians is also great. After this mine was captured by the Vietnamese side, the Soviets copied their own PFM-1 mine, which was nicknamed "butterfly mine" because of its appearance.
