Description

Yet another housing for yet another commonly available RGB AV Booster for PC Engine and TurboGrafx 16 systems (also CoreGrafx, CoreGrafx II, and SuperGrafx). This booster variant has composite, component, and MD2 (MegaDrive 2) connections. The latter being very nice when used in conjunction with a HD Retrovision MD2 cable.

Take a look at the pictures to identify if you have this same board. The optional D-Sub adapter makes it much safter to when plugging into a Turbografx 16 since without it you can easily misalign pins and possibly cause damage. Simply press on the sleeve over the pin header (it's a bit tight so it doesn't come off too easily) and alignment is practically guaranteed*.

*I take no responsibility if you mangle your own system :)

Assembly is straightforward, but just make sure that the board is laying flat and all the way down in the bottom half. I find it easiest to angle the RCA jack side in first and seat it on the long ledge. Then press the back side in and down so that its flush with the plastic where the screw holes are. Then align and slide the top on making sure to keep it straight so all the tabs line up. Finish off with a pair of M3 screws. 6 up to 10mm length should work.
