The X3D v3 riser (found here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/24775#profileId-25785 ) is an excellent addition to the Bambu labs X1C/P1S/P1P + AMS combo. The bowtie joinery is exceptionally well designed and implemented, but the OCD in me hated that the seems were not as tight at the very top of the four-piece assembly. This, coupled with my desire to avoid gluing up the pieces to allow me to replace any of the components in the future, in case of damage or sagging, led me to design these “butterfly Stitches”.

These stitches provide a mechanical fastening of the upper portions of the riser while still allowing for the entire assembly to be broken back down with minimal effort. Depending on print factors, you may need to print at +/-1% to allow for printer discrepancies and shrinkage.

Printed in PLA with the default .20 Strength X1C profile on a Textured PEI plate with no issues.
