3D model description

Model of a chromosome with several genes to be unwound. The kit allows you to make a pair homozygous in G and heterozygous in P (P and P* allele). Allows you to model concepts such as homozygous, heterozygous, gene/allele... Genes are blocked by a stop system, so it's possible to detach them to show a crossing over, for example.

The latest chromosome model has been designed to accept a magnet (12mm*5mm) to make the chromatids detachable and thus able to proceed with cell divisions.

Another chromosome pair is being created to model cells with 2 different pairs.

3D printing settings

The complete chromosome measures around twenty centimetres. Counting all the individual parts, it takes around 24 hours to print 1 complete chromosome.
