3D model description

So, for long time I wanted to make a modular system for x-carriage. To be able to swap hotends, extruders, to attach laser, pen or a dremel tool fairly easily. I came up with this design. It's still work in progress. But the E3D setup works fine.

The extruder part is based on https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2469435 . So any addons should fit.

The backplate is designed to take brass 3mm m3 threaded inserts to mount stuff:

All of modules are screwed using machine m3 (mainly 10mm) bolts.

The x-tensioner also fits standard MK8 extruder setup from ANET A8.

Next step is to add connector to make electronics modular but I still have some thinking to do before publishing anything.

I added the backplate mount for the BLV Mod. It's a simple design to be mounted on single MGN12H block. Belt clamp integrated.

  • titan extruder mount added. To make it work with the mistral fan an extender was added.

  • Electronics decoupler added. Standard gold-pin in 2,54 raster PCB. The PCB dimensions: 30x20,5 mm. Ale screwed together using M2 bolt.

+ added 3DTouch/BLTouch mount. Settings I used:
X_PROBE_OFFSET_FROM_EXTRUDER 38

Y_PROBE_OFFSET_FROM_EXTRUDER 0

Z_PROBE_OFFSET_FROM_EXTRUDER -0.90

I would reccomend calibrating z offset yourself because it might be a little different.

+ added 3DTouch/BLTouch mount integrated with Titan mount. Two M3 3mm brass inserts and two 6mm bolts are needed to mount the 3DTouch. This part is experimental! Not printed and not tested by me. I never got to use Titan that much. My mk8 extruder works just fine.

  • added picture comparison of 3D Benchy printed on Original Prusa i3 MK3 and my BLV. .15 layer hight, Devil Design Navy Blue PLA. Mine on the left :)

+ Added Titan AERO mount (adapter - mount is the same as for standard Titan) and Titan Aero fan shroud (ninja fan).
