3D model description

Picatini riser for red dot or similar equipment. Using it with a 30mm Red dot allows people with ful face mask to easly aim down sight in a comfortable way.

The riser should be printed in a standing orientation with the layer lines going upp and down as it sits on the rail. This makes it so that it requires no support to print. This also makes the part stronger.

In my case i have printed it in PETG and i could hold the airsoft rifle (2.5kg) sideways by holding the only on to the sight.

The riser do use threads in the plastic to fix it to the rail. This means that you do need to have a m4 thread tap. This does mean that if you overtighten the screws you can damage the parts. Good rule of thumb is to tighten to just when its stops moving and then half a turn more.
