3D model description

This is a case I designed for my nephew's Nintendo Switch Console. he needed to carry his charger, as well as his two extra joycons and his games.

I designed it to be printed without the need for supports, and I tested it myself, improving upon each trial print.

It has four main variations for the top part (See the images) and to avoid confusion, they are grouped in zip files containing everything you need to print each version.

Mesh Version (with built in cartridge slot)
It has two individual meshes to cover the joycons and battery slots.
Mesh Version (with no cartridge slot)
Same as above, but the joycons and catridge slots are not part of the box, instead, they are in a different file in case you want to print them in a different color. (they are split as they won't fit in the box because of the latch and hinge parts)

Cartridge Version (with built in cartridge slot)
It has a bigger cartridge slot covering the joycons and charger slots and can fit 14 games.
Cartridge Version (with no cartridge slot)
Same as above, but the joycons and catridge slots are not part of the box, instead, they are in a different file in case you want to print them in a different color. (they are split as they won't fit in the box because of the latch and hinge parts)

To better protect the console inside the case, I recommend that you use a sheet of EVA-foam in the bottom of the box, I included a cutting template that you can print and use.

I also included 5 design plates (or elements) that you can print and glue to the top of the box (pictured)

3D printing settings

Supports: Not needed
Layer height: 0.2mm
Model dimensions: 26cm x 15cm x 9cm
Printing Time: About two days (give or take)

I printed this in an Anycubic Kobra Plus in Sunlu pla+

No screws are needed, as most pieces are either glued or snapped in place. however, if you worry that you can damage the hinges for the mesh and cartridge slots, you can (carefully) use a hair dryer or heat gun to make the hinges a little bendy and then place the other part without fear of it breaking
