3D model description

This design is based on the famous cult classic Magnum Reloaded foamie build. Printing orientations are shown in pic. It measures about 800mm wide and 700mm long. The theoretical weight is around 703gV1 and 678V2 without lw-pla. Much less with lw-pla at theoretical 420g less for V2. Whereas the foamie is 250g ish which it achieves with lots of holes. I will be refining to get the weight down on this one. I have seen one attempt at a 3d version online but far from printable. Not even in format typical to a 3d printers world. Thought I might take a crack at making one that is developed to the printable stage. Many at design decisions lend a 3d model to being printable or not. I hope to add accessories and options to this build eventually. Floats, advanced wingtips, ailerons, wheels, etc. Design choices for the base plane are kept in line with the spirit of the original. A simple good build. Although it will never be as durable as the foamie. Uses pla. Bonus points for printing with lw-pla. Any refinements made will be released on this post.

build notes:
rudder and elevator are attached with packing tape style hinge. I thought this was easiest for simple building. I may add a fancier option later for the more advanced printers out there.
for main assembly use cryanoacelate (hobby version of superglue) in a ventilated area
included are split versions of elevator and wingtips for smaller beds
9g servo's mount in beside each other. One upside down. Mild glue can hold them in. "Goop" is good removable glue. Hot glue can easily melt pla but you can get away with it often
motor 2s or 3s sunnysky x2204-28 KV1480 brushless or similar ie 1800kv blue wonder
no motor mount has been added use wood for heat tolerance adapted to your engine mounting and glued on with goop or hot glue (careful bout melting). I may address this later.
esc to match the motor
battery 2 or 3s 350 to 1000 mah
8x4.3 slow fly is recommended prop or similar
theoretical cg is marked approximately
optionally drill out the landing pads and add wheels if you want. The pockets are there.
optionally make some foamie floats like the foamie build has
