3D model description

Version 2 available here: https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/gadget/bolt-action-pen-v2-edc

For a while I wanted a bolt-action pen, but most of them are pretty expensive, so I decided to make my own.
These two pens don't need any additional screws or other hardware. You just need a 3mm diameter pen refill and a standard pen spring. I designed these pens around a regular 3mm diameter pen refill, that can be found in basic click pens, because I couldn't find any of the more popular EDC pens in stores around me and I assume other people have a hard time finding them too. For the micro version, you need to cut the pen refill down to 60mm and for the XL version - 100mm.
The micro version is 72mm long and 8mm wide. It is perfect for EDC, because It is small and light.
The XL version is 120mm long and 12mm wide. I designed this for more heavier writing tasks(for school or office, etc.).

For micro version, print:
micro_body_v3.stl
micro_bolt_v3.stl
micro_end_cap.stl

For XL version, print:
XL_body.stl
XL_bolt.stl
XL_end_cap.stl

3D printing settings

Print the pens upright(Thread side touching print bed)
Use supports, but use support blocker on the threads and bolt groove.
Use a raft or other bed adhesion method(or not, if you're feeling lucky)
I used 60% infill and 0.2 layer height, and It is very durable in PLA.
Micro version takes under an hour to print, and the XL version takes a little over two hours to print.
