This is not an ordinary bowl. The bowl looks ordinary yet it has a special feature that makes it unique. Our secret bowl has a screw off bottom which conceals a hidden compartment that you can stash important items within it! You can put important notes, money, keys etc. Whatever you can fit!

We have created and tested this bowl in 3 sizes. We have included the photos of the bowls so you can get an idea of the size of each bowl we printed. We have provided only the medium sized bowl stl files which you can scale with your slicing software. The bigger the bowl, the thicker and stronger it will be. Keep in mind if you make the bowl too large, you may not be able to screw on/off the bottom. If you make the bowl too small you may not be able to fit anything into the hidden compartment.

NOTE: THERE WILL BE A THIN LAYER OF EXTRA MATERIAL AT THE BASE COVERING THE SCREW THREADS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE TOP PORTION OF THE BOWL. YOU CAN REMOVE IT EASILY WITH A CUTICLE SCISSOR OR A SCRAPPER. THE CUTICLE SCISSOR WORKS BEST! THIS EXTRA MATERIAL IS PART OF THE THREAD ASSEMBLY AND MUST BE REMOVED TO BE ABLE TO SCREW AND UNSCREW THE BOTTOM PORTION OF THE BOWL INTO THE TOP PORTION OF THE BOWL. IF YOU DO NOT REMOVE THIS EXTRA MATERIAL, YOU WILL SEE THAT THIS EXTRA PIECE OF MATERIAL IS BLOCKING ACCESS TO THE SCREW THREADS. AFTER CLEANING THE EXTRA MATERAL, SCREW THE BOTTOM INTO THE TOP MULTIPLE TIMES UNTIL IT SCREWS AND UNSCREWS EASILY.

Ideas:

This bowl can be scaled proportionally to a larger size on all axes. However, do not make it too large or else you will not be able to screw on/off the bottom. Do not make the bowl too small or the hidden compartment will be unable to stash any of your items.

You can use any PLA filament. If your goal is to conceal something out in the open that would be best achieved with an ordinary looking bowl. It is probably best to use regular or matte PLA filament.

If you want felt adhesive pads you can get them from any hardware store. We have tried the adhesive pads and they work nicely with the bowl.

Make sure you pack the hidden compartment so your stash will not move around in the open space in the compartment. If the items move around freely in the hidden stash, someone may hear them moving about if they pick up the bowl and twist in around.

This is one of those items that would make a nice gift for someone. We have received a lot of positive comments regarding The Secret Bowl.
