3D model description

This is a quick change filament coil holder. I adapted it from a remix of another spool holder by KitWasHere, which he adapted from Murat. The pics are from KitWasHere and show his shorter arms which work well for small coils.

The coils from faberdashery are too big for the original, so I made new longer hooks to fit. There is also an adapter to make it fit the spool holder on my Kossel Mini. The adapter is optional, I found the hooks caught on other bits of my printer so the adapter offsets the spool on my spool holder.

It works really well and avoids having to re-spool the faberdashery coils or have them get into horrible tangles.

3D printing settings

Print the spoolMain, print 2 spoolCaps, print 3 longerspoolHooks.

You need to use 3x M3 hex bolts 18/20mm, and 3 M3 Nylock nuts to bolt the hooks to the hub. Don't overtighten they need to move when you want to change coils! Add one medium size elastic band across the 3 slots.

Print the adapter if you need it. I found the hooks caught on other bits of my printer so the adapter offsets the spool on my spool holder.
