3D model description

UPDATE (Nov. 2022): Supports added to all files, little improved rim fitting and tire tread.

This set of wheels was designed for the Hot Wheels's '37 Bugatti (Also known as "1932 Bugatti Type 50"). The T50 is in fact a 1931 road car, powered by a straight-8 5L engine, with an output of more than 220HP.

Bugatti was at its finest, having won the Grand Prix World Championship in 1926 (predecessor to FIA's F-1) and many other important victories entering the 30s.

As in many other designs by Bugatti, this wheels were made as a work of art, with its spokes forming an helix between the outer rim and the inner one, which is also the drum brake.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: New version has tire and rim separated as an alternative in order to print them with different materials or colors.

Ø Wheel = 13,4mm

Wheels are modelled with a Ø0,82mm hole, suited for Hot Wheels and many other brand's axles.

3D printing settings

Tested in SLA Print. Layer Thickness of 0,05mm is recommended.

Central part of the wheel should have at least three supports in order to keep it centered to the outer rim and tire.

No hollow tires were tested.

Black resin will make the job easier, having therefore to only paint the rims.

Sanding the tires while turning the wheels will give a smooth and realistic finish.
