3D model description

This clever adaptor is for using Dyson accessories with a VAX Blade. Please note the Dyson main head will not fit - just the accessories (as demonstrated in pictures).

The Dyson accessories are from a Dyson City vacuum cleaner which has the 34mm fitment size (as shown in picture). I think there are two different sizes of Dyson accessories so just make sure yours is the 34mm diameter one.

The VAX Blade has the 36.4mm fitment (as shown in picture).

Use those accumulated Dyson accessories again!!!
I have been using these with my VAX with no problems encountered thus far (with heavy use, especially the accessory for sucking into skirting board edges).

These may be usable on different models of VAX / Dyson but I could not comment. The models here are based on VAX Blade and Dyson City.

3D printing settings

The models come in 2no. files - the main piece itself (which must be printed flat side down) and the prongs. The prongs assist with keeping the head in place whilst in use (but is not necessary if a good fit is achieved). You can scale the whole models up and down a percent or two (depending on your printer settings, nozzle size and filament used) to get a neat fit with the Dyson accessory. I have included the dimensions of prongs which fit into the adaptor itself incase you want to custom produce them for an accessory I have not catered for.

I have used PLA here with a 0.4mm nozzle diameter.
The infill I have used for mine is 15%
No supports or brims necessary for either model.
Really easy print and the prongs come in and out of the sockets with moderate force.
